Overall Career
John Huston Rothrock was born on March 14, 1905, in Long Beach, CA. Rothrock was 20 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 28, 1925, with the Boston Red Sox.
Rothrock had an 11-year career as an outfielder. In 1,014 games he batted .276 with 28 HR and 327 RBI. With the Red Sox in 1928 Rothrock appeared at all nine positions.

- Played in the 1934 World Series with St. Louis and led the victorious Cardinals with six RBIs in the series.
