Jack Thomas "J.T." Snow, Jr (born February 26, 1968 in Long Beach, California) wore the number 84 for the Boston Red Sox as a first baseman during the 2006 season. He signed with the Sox on Janruary 9, 2006 as a free agent.

Overall Career
J.T. Snow began his career playing for the Yankees, but was traded following his rookie season to the Angels. As an Angel, Snow began his streak of six straight Gold Glove awards. Snow won the AL award in 1995 and 1996 while playing for California. Following a trade to the San Francisco Giants, he won the NL Award after the 1997-2000 seasons.In Janruary 2006, Snow signed a one year contract worth $2 million with Boston after nine seasons with the Giants. With Kevin Youkilis entering his first season as a first baseman, Snow's defensive ability was to provide insurance for the Sox.
Snow played in 38 games for the Red Sox in 2006, with most of his appearances coming as a late innings replacement for Youkilis. Snow started only seven games at first base and had a OBP of .340 in 44 at bats. Snow's lack of playing time lead to him being designated for assignment on June 19th and then released on June 27th. Snow announced his retirement on December 7, 2006 after a 15-year major league career, to take a position in the Giants' front office.

- In the 2000 NLDS, Snow smacks a pinch hit 3-run home run off Mets reliever Armando Benitez in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at 4. The Mets go on to win the game 5-4 on a game winning hit by rookie Jay Payton.
