Scouting Report
- Outstanding glove. Smart, fundamental player with a likeable disposition, making him a favorite of both his teammates and fans. Plays SS and 2B very well, even can play 3B in a pinch. On the other hand, his bat lacks pop. Doesn't make enough good contact and has minimal power. Makes pitchers work though with his solid plate approach. Not a big base stealing threat but can run the bases well. ~ SoxProspects.com
[edit]
Amateur Career
- Hit .323 with an .830 OPS in 201 AB for SW Texas State University in 2002.
[edit]
Minor Leauge Career
- Has been with the Red Sox organization for almost 5 seasons, spending time in Lowell, Augusta, Sarasota, Wilmington, Lancaster and now Portland as he has worked his way up the Red Sox organization. Not really a prospect, is now 26 and is known more for his glove rather than his bat. Hit .379 in 66 AB with High-A Lancaster before earning a promotion to AA Portland in 2007.
