Hector Pacheco Carrasco (born October 22, 1969 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) is a right-handed relief pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Carrasco was briefly a member of the Red Sox in 2000. Acquired from the Minnesota Twins for Lew Ford, Carrasco appeared in 8 games, posting a 1-1 record with a 9.45 ERA in 6.2 innings.

Overall Career

Signed as a nondrafted free agent by the New York Mets in 1988, Carrasco made his major league debut in 1994 with the Cincinatti Reds. Following a brief stint with the Kansas City Royals, Carrasco spent four seasons with the Minnesota Twins sandwiched around eight disastrous appearances for the Red Sox in 2000.

Since 2001, Carrasco has pitched for the Baltimore Orioles, the Kintetsu Buffaloes of Japan, the Washington Nationals, (in which he finished with a 5-4 record with a 2.04 ERA in 88.2 innings) and most recently the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

In eleven-seasons in the majors, Carrasco has a 42-49 record with 19 saves and a 3.87 ERA in 609 relief appearances and 15 starts.
