Hector Radhames Almonte (born October 17, 1975 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) was a right-handed relief pitcher for the Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos and Boston Red Sox. Hector spent 2006 playing with the Monclova Steelers of the Mexican League and the Somerset Patriots of the Independent Atlantic League.

Almonte's Moments in the Sun

  • On June 27, 2003, he was ejected for throwing behind the head of the Marlins' Andy Fox. This was in the ninth inning of the Red Sox' famous 25-8 win. [1]
