Franchise History

The Green Bay Packers are a member of the National Football League (NFL). They currently play in the Northern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). The Packers began play in 1919, and joined the NFL in 1921. They are currently the only publicly-owned major professional sports team in th United States.
