Overall Career
John Gordon "Dusty" Rhodes was born on August 11, 1907, in Winnemucca, Nevada. Rhodes was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 29, 1929, with the New York Yankees. Rhodes had an 8-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished witha 43-74 record, 356 Ks and a 4.85 ERA in 1048.2 innings.
