Overall Career
George Edward Hockette was born on April 7, 1908, in Perth, Mississippi. Hockette was 26 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 17, 1934, with the Boston Red Sox. Hockette had a 2 year career, all with Boston, as a left handed pitcher. He finished with a 4-4 record, and a 4.08 ERA in 88.1 innings. At the plate, he batted .200 in 25 at-bats.
