Overall Career
Francis Allen "Chip" Bennett was born on October 27, 1904, in Mardela Springs, MD. Bennett was 22 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 17, 1927, with the Boston Red Sox.
Bennett had a 2-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished with a 0-1 record and a 2.70 ERA in 13.1 IP. In 1923 he played with the Barre Montpelier team of central Vermont.
