The state of Florida is the home of one American League and one National League team:

  • The Florida Marlins are current members of the National League East and have been a major league team since 1993. In their brief history, the Marlins have won two World Series championships.
  • The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are current members of the American League East and have been a major league team since 1998. The Devil Rays have never qualified for the playoffs, and in fact have never even finished a season with a winning record.
