Overall Career
Charles Andrew Farrell was born on August 31, 1866, in Oakdale, MA. Farrell was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 21, 1888, with the Chicago Cubs.
Farrell had an 18-year career as a catcher and infielder. His finished his career by playing 1563 games with a .275 average, 51 HR, and 912 RBI. After his playing days, he was a Boston Brave scout until his death.
