Overall Career
On August 13, 1956 Pavletich was signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an amateur free agent. He would spend 9 seasons with the Reds, his best coming in 1966 when he hit 12 home runs to go along with 38 RBI. In 1968 he was traded to the White Sox and in 1969 we has traded by the Chicago White Sox with Gary Peters to the Boston Red Sox for Syd O'Brien and Billy Farmer. Billy Farmer (minors) refused to report to his new team. The Boston Red Sox sent Jerry Janeski on March 9, 1970 to the Chicago White Sox to complete the trade. Between 1970 and 1971 Pavletich played in 46 games for the Sox hitting one home run and driving in 9 runs. On October 10, 1971 Don Pavletich was traded by the Boston Red Sox with Ken Brett, Billy Conigliaro, Joe Lahoud, Jim Lonborg, and George Scott to the Milwaukee Brewers for Marty Pattin, Lew Krausse, Tommy Harper, and Pat Skrable.
