- Signed with the Tigers in 1964, was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the expansion draft. Heavily used as a starter in his mid-20's, he had to move into the bullpen in 1974.
- Traded to the Sox after the 1973 season for Marty Pattin. After 1975, was traded to the Angels. Re-signed with the Sox for the 1978 season.
- Saved 15 games for the 1975 Red Sox, and 2 games in the 1975 ALCS.
- Pitched innings 9-11 in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, allowing only 1 hit (and hitting Pete Rose).
- While pitching with the Angels, gave up home run number 755 to Hank Aaron on [7-20-76].
