David Allan Aardsma (born December 27, 1981 in Denver, CO) was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st Round (22nd Pick) of the 2003 Amateur Draft. He made his major league debut on April 6, 2004 , for the Giants. He was acquired by the Red Sox from the Chicago White Sox on January 28, 2008 for minor league pitchers Willy Mota and Miguel Socolovich.
