David John Sax (born September 22, 1958 in Sacramento, California) was a catcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox.

Overall Career

Signed by the Dodgers in 1978, Sax toiled in LA's farm system before appearing with the big club briefly in 1982 and 1983, going hitless in 10 at-bats. He hit .306 (11-for-36) in limited action for Boston in 1985 and .455 (5-for-11) in 1986. Sax last saw action in the majors in 1987. In five-seasons, he hit .267/.297/.383 with 1 home run and 8 RBI.
