David Bert "Dave" Holt, from Visalia, CA, was drafted by the Sox in 1979 out of Fresno State, as a LHB Catcher/1st Baseman.
He spent 1 season at Elmira and 3 seasons at Winter Haven.
He spent 1983 as a player-coach with Rac Slider in New Britain, and got his first managerial job at Winter Haven.
