Overall Career

David Black was born on April 19, 1892, in Chicago, Illinois. Black was 22 years old when he broke into the big leagues on May 2, 1914, with the Chicago Whales.

Black had a 3-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished with a 8-10 record and 3.18 ERA in 181.1 innings. At the plate, he batted .161 in 56 at bats.
