Dominican Summer League Red Sox

The Dominican Summer League started in 1985, and the Red Sox have been a part of the league since at least 1996. The Red Sox fielded two teams in 2003 (as strife in Venezuela caused the Sox to shut down the Venezuelan Summer League Red Sox team.) In 2006, the DSL team became the only Caribbean team the Sox fielded, as they shut down the VSL operation.
