Cornelius Cliff Floyd (born December 5, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois) has been limited by injuries his entire career. When healthy Floyd is a dangerous left-handed slugger, but those injuries have limited to only four seasons of 145 or more games. Cliff was on the Red Sox for 47 games during the 2002 season, only amassing 18 RBI in 147 at-bats.

Overall Career
Floyd made his major league debut in 1993, playing in 10 games with the Montreal Expos. In 1997, Floyd was traded from the Expos to the Florida Marlins for Dustin Hermanson and Joe Orsulak. Cliff was a part the Marlins World Series Roster in `97, but only managed 3 plate appearances in 4 games. Going into the 1998 season, Floyd earned a starting position in the Marlins' outfield.
In 2002, Floyd was traded from the Marlins back to the Expos, with Claudio Vargas, Wilton Guerrero and cash, for Graeme Lloyd, Mike Mordecai, Carl Pavano, Justin Wayne, and Donald Levinski. Later that year, Floyd was traded from the Expos to the Boston Red Sox for Sun-Woo Kim and Seung Song.
After a somewhat unsuccessful 2-month stint with the Red Sox, Floyd was granted his free agency. In early January of `03, Floyd signed a contract with the New York Mets.
On January 24, 2007, following four injury-riddled seasons in New York, Floyd signed as a free agent with the Chicago Cubs.

- June 30, 1994: In Montreal's 7-3 victory over the Giants, San Fransisco OF Darren Lewis commits an error, allowing Cliff Floyd's basehit to skip under his glove. It is Lewis' 1st error in 392 major league games (938 chances), and his 1st since May 10, 1991, at Triple-A Phoenix.
