Overall Career
Clarence "Climax" Blethen began his major league career at age 30 with the Red Sox on September 17, 1923. Blethen threw in 5 games and ended his one season with the Red Sox with a 7.13 ERA over 17.2 innings pitched. As a hitter he was less of a threat, accumulating a .000 AVG/OBP/SLG in 6 AB.
