Profile

The Central Illinois Collegiate League is a collegiate wooden bat summer baseball league. It is one of the many summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues. It is composed of five teams from Illinois and Indiana. These teams include: Danville Dans, Dupage Dragons, DuBois County Bombers, Quincy Gems and Springfield Sliders. The CICL was founded in 1963 as a charter member of National Collegiate Athletic Association certified summer baseball. The CICL is one of four summer college baseball leagues supported by Major League Baseball. The CICL is one of eight leagues in the National Alliance of Summer Baseball.

The Twin City Stars, Galesburg Pioneers, Springfield Rifles disbanded during the 2006-07 offseason.

The Springfield Sliders will be joining the league for the 2008 season, after a one-year absence

Hannibal, MO will join the CICL for the 2009 season, and will play at a renovated Clemens Field.
