The Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award is given to the most outstanding player in the All-Star Game. The award was named for Williams in 2003. In recent years, fans have been allowed to vote at MLB.com for the award, with the fan vote counting as 20% of the vote. The remaining 80% of the vote comes from the official scorer and the owners of the radio, television, and international broadcast rights.

Red Sox players have won the awards four times: Carl Yastrzemski (1970), Roger Clemens (1986), Pedro Martinez (1999), and J.D. Drew (2008).
