Overall Career
Carl Nettles Reynolds was born on February 1, 1903, in LaRue, Texas. Reynolds was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 1, 1927, with the Chicago White Sox. Reynolds had a 13-year career as an outfielder. In 1,222 games he batted .302 with 80 HR and 699 RBI.
Reynolds had his best season in 1930. He collected 202 hits and hit .359 (4th). He was top ten in slugging, total bases, OPS, triples, homers, and steals. He played in the 1938 World Series with the Cubs.

- During the heated 1930 post-season "City Series" between the Cubs and White Sox, Carl Reynolds was pelted with lemons in center field by fans at Wrigley Field.
