Overall Career
Brady Kevin Anderson (born January 18, 1964 in Silver Spring, MD), was the most unlikely fifty home-run hitter in baseball history, Anderson struggled for years to fulfill the potential he showed as the onetime prize of the Red Sox farm system. Despite the fact that in the previous three years he had managed just 41 homers and had hit only 72 in 945 major league games up to that point, Anderson went on to hit 50 home runs during the 1996 season.
This career year occurred during the heart of the "Steroid Era,” and rumors of steroid use cannot be ignored for Anderson who would be a Free Agent after the 1997 season, and had never hit more than 21 home runs and would never again hit more than 24.
