Overall Career
Robert Schley "Jumbo" Barrett was born on January 27, 1899, in Atlanta, Georgia. Barrett was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 30, 1923, with the Chicago Cubs. Barrett had a 5-year career as a third baseman. In 239 games he batted .260 with 10 HR and 86 RBI.
