Overall Career

Hyped as a prospect after hitting .342 with 23 home runs in 515 at-bats in 1985 with El Paso, Robidoux won the Brewers' first base job in 1986 as a replacement for the aging Cecil Cooper. Robidoux struggled to adjust to big league pitching, lost his power, and was on the disabled list twice. His success in the minors eluded him throughout his big league career which also included brief stops with the White Sox and Red Sox, as Robidoux never hit higher than .253 nor topped the two hundred plate appearance mark after his rookie year.

In his six-year career, Robidoux finished with a .209 batting average and 5 home runs in 468 at-bats. His fifth and final home run came in a Red Sox uniform on April 13, 1990 off Brewers pitcher Jaime Navarro.

Billy Jo now works for various charitable organizations and was integral in the United States' response to Hurricane Katrina.
