William Robert "Lefty" Wight (born April 12, 1922 in Rio Vista, California) played in the major leagues for 12 years. His has a career Won/Loss Record of 77/99, and a lifetime ERA of 3.97. He was regarded by many as having the best pickoff move in the major leagues, though it may have been through necessity. In 1948 he led the American League in Base on Balls allowed with 148.
