Overall Career
William Wright Regan was born on January 23, 1899, in Pittsburgh, PA. Regan was 27 years old when he broke into the big leagues on June 2, 1926, with the Boston Red Sox.
Regan had a 6-year career as a second baseman. In 641 games he batted. 267 with 18 HR and 292 RBI. He was more typically a doubles hitter whose speed got him as many as ten triples a year. He worked with the Allegheny County (Pa.) police force for 20 years and also saw service with the armed forces in WWII.

On June 16, 1928 the Red Sox' Regan came to bat twice in the fourth inning and homered both times - equaling his HR output of the previous season.
