William Benton "Wild Bill" Piercy as born on May 2, 1896, in El Monte, CA. Piercy was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on October 3, 1917, with the New York Yankees.
Piercy had a 6-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished with a 27-43 record, 165 Ks and a 4.26 ERA in 610.2 IP.
