Overall Career
Herbert Paul (Babe) Barna (born March 2, 1915 in Clarksburg, West Virginia) was an all-around star while at the University of West Virginia, where his best baseball season was in 1936 when he batted .452 (sixth best in WVU history). He first played for Connie Mack but was never given much time despite his impressive start during his rookie season. His best season in the majors was with the 1942 Giants.
