November 17, 1947: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Pete Laydon, Joe Ostrowski, Roy Partee, Eddie Pellagrini, Jim Wilson, and $310,000 to the St. Louis Browns for Vern Stephens and Jack Kramer.
