Scouting Report
Stern bats lefty but throws righty. Hits to all parts of the field. He's shown decent patience and power at the plate in the minors but his progress has been hampered by roster requirements. Has some trouble vs LHP.
Stern has good speed but occasionally shows a lack of instincts on the base paths. Defensively able to handle all outfield positions well and is an above-average CF with a strong arm. He's being worked out at all 3 outfield positions in Pawtucket in 2006.
