1902 Americans Walk Offs

- 4/19 - In a packed Opening Day crowd of over 14,000 at Huntington Avenue Grounds, the Americans and Orioles put on quite a show. Boston allowed single runs in each of the last three innings to fall into a 6-3 hole. It wouldn't last though, as Jimmy Collins' club fought back valiantly with four runs in the home half of the 9th.
Boston 7, Baltimore 6
- 7/4 (2) - Cy Young put together a 12 inning performance, but Boston had to bail him out in the bottom of the 12th to avoid the loss for both. After Baltimore scored a run in the visitors' half of the inning, the Americans fought back for two to secure the victory.
Boston 5, Baltimore 4 - 12 innings
- 7/23 - Bill Dinneen put in a good days work for Boston, but the Browns still pushed the game into extras. It ended in the 13th when Jimmy Collins and Buck Freeman put together back to back hits.

- 9/12 - Boston's AL ballclub upended the League leading Philadelphia Athletics by the narrowest of margins to pull within 3 games of first. Cy Young outdueled Rube Waddell in the affair. Buck Freeman provided much of the American's offense.
