@GlobeKPD: Remember, this is the country that sent us the Tsarnaevs. Never forget. Never.

There, it is no longer a 2 year old thread.

I hope you smile while looking at your Junior Deputy Mod certificate you got last year when you went to the local Moderator Station.

To be fair, haven't Dopes been imploring posters to start more Kevin Paul DuPont threads?

People have been fired for less ridiculously stupid tweets than that Tsarnaev one. What was he talking about anyway? Chechnya and Russia despise each other, and the Soviet Union ceased to exist two years before Dzhokhar was even born.

He followed it up with this gem:

Peter Tessier ‏@Teddier
Good lord “@GlobeKPD: Remember, this is the country that sent us the Tsarnaevs. Never forget. Never.”

Kevin Paul Dupont ‏@GlobeKPD

@Teddier Easy to say when it wasn't at your front door.

He lost whatever Tim Wakefield-speed fastball he had years ago.

Now he merely serves to drag the Globe into Herald territory and tweet nicknames for people to show everyone how clever he thinks he is.

Yes.  We're like 2 more threads from a KPD subforum.

Just what the internets need: more low-hanging fruit.

Edit:
It's such a moronic tweet that I can't even be upset or insulted. I'm laughing as I type this. Also, I love not having to reach far for a snack, and I have always had a strong personal distaste for KPD's journalism, so the more the better!

Somehow this is just as bad of a comment too, he's trying to make himself out to be a victim here. Not only insult Russia, but insult the actual victims of that tragedy.

What a piece of shit this guy is. Is he one of the old timers that can't be fired, even if he says things this bad?

They lived in Russia (Dagestan) for less than a year. They actually spent most of their childhood in Kyrgyzstan. And the Russians warned the FBI about Tamerlan several years before the bombings.

He really, really, really wanted the new Garden to be called The Vault. It obviously never caught on, I always thought he was bitter about that.

Kevin Paul Dupont @GlobeKPD 28m

Recent B's rentals, Kaberle, Jagr et al -- not worth effort. Best deal to make is for a core player--which usually means surrendering same.

Yes. I also hated winning a Cup and having another trip to the finals.

Not only that, but Toronto got basically squat from the Kaberle trade and Dallas received less from the Jagr trade.  So even if you assert that the Bs would have gotten as far as they did without those two players (and I don't - both players had good games in their respective playoff runs), it cost them basically nothing.

Oh man that is truly one for the Moronic Tweets Hall of Fame. At first I thought he might have been joking somehow, but the equally stupid follow-up shows that he was not.

Wow, Boston Glob, you employ this tool, Cafardo and Shaughnessy all at once. Is there a bigger collection of useless twits at any newspaper sports section or sports website anywhere?

Also, the thread title should be changed to "Kevin Paul Dupont Takes on the Chechnya Olympics." That's obviously where he thinks the Olympics are being held and where the terrorism that was on HIS DOORSTEP came from. (Also came from Cambridge MA, but let's not worry about that.)
