I think that seeing if Bard resembles his former non-Blass self is the most interesting aspect of todays games.

This might be one of my 3-5 favorite days of the year. I have been waiting for so long...

Anyone have a GameDay link? Or are we relegated to box score refreshing circa 1997?

MLB TV just changed the screen to "Live", but no links to broadcast...

I can't wait for the first "OMG, 12 pitches, 12 strikes, 9 outs! What an outing!" post of the spring. Warms my heart.

Team building brawl brewing. Hanrahan hits their guy, so the NU pitcher drills Jonny Gomes.

The first hitter Bard faces singles.
Faith evaporates.

And Victorino is batting 1.000 in a Sox uniform! Bounce-back season underway.

They are running all over us. Sox control of the running game is in mid-season form!

I want to see upper 90's. Anything below 95 does nothing for me.

Looks like Gameday actually has a pitch by pitch for Gameday (last years it was 3 swinging strikes for a K, 4 walks for a BB and one pitch for a hit/out).

Bard strikes out the side. Just college kids, but better than walking three of them, which I honestly think he would have done last August.

I know. He's not likely to let loose at full velocity, it would just be nice to see some 98 mph heat from him again.
It's Feb 21.

Also, there's no official radar gun today at Jet Blue Park. Bradford knew Bard's speed because he's sitting with some scouts.

It's the same this year, from what I've seen so far.

First the Sox acquire Carp, now Overbay whiffs against a college pitcher from Northeastern.
Yeah, Lyle. I like your chances.

another HBP.....
as for Bard, has there ever been a pitcher that got through a season throwing 90% sliders? Because if he doesn't find that FB command he may have to.

Oh, I don't know. I feel as good about Lackey right now as I did about Matsuzaka last year, which scares me, by the way, because I though Matsuzaka was going to be a monster with his fixed-up arm.
