Great stuff, thanks for sharing. For some reason, I had Xander Bogaerts pegged as a white guy.

Very fun - thanks for these, Cheri!

Forgot this is the first spring training without Pesky...

Thanks for posting these, Cheri!

Also, I'm so envious it hurts.

Since the Sox don't have Bradley Sr., why does Jackie Bradley need the "Jr." on his uniform?

Nice pictures. What time does practice end? Might swing by tomorrow afternoon if they're still there.

Because he wants it on there?

It's just a traditional naming convention to distinguish him from his father, whose presence on the Sox is irrelevant.

In the Al Gore machine age, with Google, Bing and other search engine optimization stuff going on out there, it's a good thing to be able to make the distinction.

Love those shots of the kids.  Can't wait until they're here to stay.

Them's a lotta catchers in those pictures, though.

I didn't even know Bradley was a Jr. until I saw the picture.

Where's the usually present in pictures Jacoby? Is he there yet?

Ok, thanks. Will be swinging by there this weekend and probably Monday and Tuesday because schools are closed.

Bradley has almost never been referred to here or elsewhere as anything other than "Jackie Bradley Junior", or sometimes, for short, "JBJ".

You might want to keep up with the minor leaguers. Or at least the top prospects.

Bogaerts has a very "Renteria-esque" build to him.

Maybe it's because I'm reading this thread before the coffee kicks in, or because my head is a little muddled from drinks with the neighbors last night, but for a minute there I was all "whoa, when did we re-sign Cody Ross?!?"

Gates at 9:00, workouts start at 9:30, per the press release. Tomorrow there's also an Open House starting at 11:00am.

Do you mean pre-game BP? Has been 2 hours prior to game. I'll advise of any change once games begin next week.

Thanks, Cheri.  I'm going to try to go to the Sox-Orioles game in Sarasota on the 27th, it's about 10 mins from our hotel.  Hoping to get a chance for my daughter to meet a player or two.

Check the Orioles web site just in case the opening is different.

That's better, carry on :q:

Seriously, though, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule every spring to post pictures to make us all salivate for April.  It is much appreciated, and adds a lot of value to your SoSH WAR.  Not that it matters, since this post comes from someone who is pretty much an annual negative WAR :)

It did indeed. I live in Stoneybrook, so a lot of former/current players come in there. I'm friends with one of the guys who works there who was able to get it for me.

I had a feeling it was in Gateway since he has rents a condo here. We live in Gateway Greens and we've seen him at the club a few times.

Thus far, we haven't seen (or heard) of any of the players being on the course. Last year Beckett, Buchholz and Lackey were regulars.
