Yeah, but that just doesn't happen very often. This is the NHL. They won 10 games a year ago by 4 or more goals which is pretty unheard of. That was like 8% of their games, the majority of which were against Toronto.

How often have the Bruins lost games like this.  Montreal was the better team for 50+ minutes of that game, but Tuukka stood on his head and the 5 minute surge that produced 2 goals for the B's was the difference.  How often the last couple years has Cam Ward, or Ryan Miller or Carey Price come in, shut out the B's for 60 minutes, made some amazing stops, and then had a  brainfart or two by the B's lead to goals and the loss.

Strongly disagree. For about 35-40 minutes, from the middle/late of the first to the middle of the third, the Bruins were the considerably better team.

also, can we talk about this a little bit?

Yeah, Ol' Turtlenec is gonna have a hard time living that down. I'm not even sure what he was trying to do there.

Not create an odd-man rush?  Of course he failed miserably at that too.

And Pierre was more off than usual last night. "Look how far out Rask is"? His skates were still in the crease.

Pierre was in top form last night. He named an alumnus from nearly every OHL franchise.

That was hilarious.  It's ok, Pierre, Plekanec can just fuck up by himself, it doesn't need to be caused by anything.

And gave a 5 minute soliloquy on Sarnia and all the "great offensive talent" coming out of there now.

"Inneresting story about Brendan Gallagher, Doc - I was going to a game in Brandon, his Giants were in town to face the Wheat Kings. I'm getting coffee before the game and I see his step dad Billy Campbell in line. I ask him if he's picking anything up for Brendan, and he goes 'no Pierre, Brendan doesn't like coffee.' So I asked 'not even a double-double to get him going?' and - get this - he responds 'no.'

Just goes to show ya what a motor this guy's got on him, he's got a lotta family watching out in Edmonton."
