I say Tuukka tomorrow and Khudobin Monday in Carolina.
Claude's fawning over Dougie last night makes me happy in the pants.

Anton tomorrow and Tuukka against Carolina. The Islanders suck, plus Rask had a lot of work last night in a stressful game. Let him rest.

Agreed - it's going to be a short, but intense and physically demanding season. Get Tuukka rest where you can (a game against the Islanders is a great opportunity to not have your 1A in), and let Khudo get some work.

I'm just thinking with the back-to-back Monday and Tuesday, I would prefer to have Khudobin go against the Canes and Tuukka against NJ. I know the Isles blow but I think it's really important this year to bank as many points as you can early on and then you have the luxury of resting Rask more down the stretch.

You might not have the option to rest Rask down the stretch if the Bruins are fighting for a playoff spot, or home ice advantage though. I think you rest Rask against the weaker opponents where the offense/defense should be able to carry you.

I agree wholeheartedly. Giving him extra rest to face Carolina or NJ would be ideal, IMO, with the Islanders looming on Friday. The Isles are a young hockey team with shoddy defense and goaltending. It's a perfect game for Khudobin to play, and keeps him active on the season. Remember, he needs to play too to stay fresh in case something happens to Rask.

Not to open a can of worms, nor do I think this is necessarily the case, but I would imagine that using a goalie on back-to-back nights would result in more injury. In other words, I'd start Rask against the Islanders and split the goalies for the back-to-back. The argument about getting points where you can supports this argument as well (Rask against the Islanders boosts the chances of getting a valuable W). Of course, you could make the argument that starting Rask against the Islanders after last night is just as bad, but I think playing back-to-back is worse.

Why not have Anton play the next 2 and have Rask go on Monday? Rask gets 5 days of rest after playing 3 in a row, gets to go against the Devils (last year's Eastern Champ), Anton gets some momentum against some bottom-feeding teams.

This could work too. Khudo plays two, then Rask gets NJ and Buffalo, Khudo gets Toronto on Saturday. I think I actually like that better.

I think it's in everyone's best interest to get Khudobin going early. As we've seen in the past, having 2 hot goalies is huge.
Plus, I wasn't impressed with Rask's work last night, give him a rest and get Khudobin going. Ideally I'd like to see a 30-18 split between the two this season

Can we at least agree that last night's episode of archer was worlds funnier than the first one of this season?

Islanders blew their load last night. Time to show them what a real team looks like.

Maybe I need to watch it again, but I thought outside of a few lines last week's was much better.

Maybe I just enjoy the Archer-gets-shit-on episodes a lot more than you guys.

Friday night game seems so weird.
there's an AMcGhie enjoying getting shit on joke out there someplace but I'm tired. I thought last week's was better but it was still freaking great. Enjoyed the Predator gag again. As soon as he stopped and started looking around I knew it was coming. And yet I still laughed.
Entmoot was all kinds of awesome.
I need more coffee.

His giant robodong went into the shop for maintenance. He has trouble skating backwards without it there to counterbalance the weight.
