Yeah, this will sit out here a long time. But seeing that Joba just signed a contract for $1,875,000 for 2013 made me wonder what OUR top prospects will be making 5 years down the line.

Hell, Joba is entering his 7th season as a NYY, and I bet no one five years ago thought he'd be making under $2 million for 2013.

Looking for the exact salary for Jackie for 2017. So if in 2015 he signs a 7 year, $60 million deal, and it breaks down as:

2015 $3 million
2016 $4 million
2017 $6 million
2018 $8 million
2019 $10 million
2020 $13 million
2021 $13 million

then the answer is $6 million

1.5 million. I don't see him being extended until 2016, and  project 2018 as his first year of arbitration w/o an extension.

 

He gets called up in mid 2014 to delay the clock.
