Anyone know when the Game 7 of SCF would take place? It seems they could have spread out games a little more, I'm assuming the worry is more for training camp for 2013-2014 and not competition from MLB for eyeballs/dollars since they're now going more head to head with the NBA for playoffs.

Jesus man. How about we wait till game one before we worry about Game 7.

Edit - also, that seems like when a normal season would end anyways, so I don't see what the big deal is.

To follow up on Lose's post, over the season's first 5 weeks through Feb 24 the Bruins will have 6 breaks with more than one day between games, including two 3-day breaks.

Over the final 9 weeks, they'll have just two such breaks spaced roughly a month apart.

Depth and health are always key factors for all teams in any NHL season [/thanks, captain obvious], but they're going to be effing huge this year.

2 - Jan 25-28
3 - Feb 2-6
2 - Feb 6-9
2 - Feb 12-15
3 - Feb 17-21
2 - Feb 21-24
2 - Mar 27-30
3 - Apr 23-27

The Garden bull gang gets to work its quick-change magic for just one Celtics-Bruins doubleheader, and it's on Feb 24. The B's have the 1 pm game vs Florida, and the C's tip off against Portland at 7 pm.

The NHL has ended between April 5-11 over the last five years. This pushes the season back 2.5 to 3 weeks. Game 7 generally occurs in mid-June around the 15th. They can probably cut a travel day here and there, meaning a theoretical Game 7 might occur right around the end of June.

and just as importantly, tickets:

"Individual tickets for Bruins games played at TD Garden this season will go on sale on Wednesday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m. ET at the TD Garden Box Office and online at www.bostonbruins.com"

"BRUINS 2012-13 TICKET INFORMATION

Boston Bruins Season Ticket Holders, Game Plan Holders, and fans on the Season Ticket Waiting List will receive presale access to purchase tickets to individual home games, prior to the public on-sale.

Members of the Bruins Cybear Club will also receive presale access."

Glad to hear this. As a 10 game pack holder I hope to use this to get tickets to Saturday night's game. I bet it sells out pretty quickly (amazingly enough).

Apparently they have give away all the tickets to the intrasquad game tomorrow at the Garden. I can't believe they are going to have a full house for that tomorrow.

Still no update on my 10 game pack. I thought they were supposed to give us those details today.

I'd imagine there will be a lot of empty seats since tickets were free and there are no repercussions for not going. It's also a good chance for a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise spend money on NHL hockey to go to see the Bruins while they're in demand. Some friends and I picked up eight total tickets for tomorrow. Of the other seven, I'd classify them as one fan who follows hockey closely and goes to games, three who watch the Bruins on tv semi-casually but rarely go and don't know the NHL very well, and three who are general sports fan but wouldn't go if not for the free factor.

it was an easy call to grab the tickets for my family to go. we may not be able to given all the kids schedules, but if not, no big deal, even though i wasn't going to spend a dime on concessions anyway.

my real motivation is that my kids are killing me to get tickets, and I also think the first month or so of games are going to be pretty hard to get at face value.

We just got notified about our half season plan.

ELEVEN games....not 12...but 11. Out of 24. Not sure how that works. And no Habs games. Jerry Jacobs....the gift that keeps on giving. I'm afraid if I ask for mountain dew at the concession stand, Jacobs will piss in my mouth instead.

Anyhow, out of 4 guys, we're getting 3, 3, 3,...and 2. Excellent stuff.

The NHL is still a business, and as much as fans wanted the league to do it, it wasn't going to give things away for free coming out of the lockout if it didn't have to (and it doesn't).

But the league will offer some things for a discounted price, like NHL GameCenter Live.
The league announced on Monday evening that a subscription for the online service will cost you $49.99 (or two payments of $24.99).
From the league:

The National Hockey League today announced that NHL GameCenter LIVETM, the League's critically acclaimed, out-of-market, live-game streaming product, is available this season for the special price of $49.99.

The subscription fee of $49.99 enables fans to watch live and archived games featuring teams outside a fan's local market across multiple screens, including smartphones, tablets, computers and connected devices. The special price is available for this season only.

NHL GameCenter LIVETM offers fans worldwide* the most robust live-game viewing experience with in-game interactivity, on-demand replays, DVR capabilities, highlights and more.

NHL GameCenter Live can be streamed on Android, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Boxee, PS3, Roku, Sony, and XBOX.

Heads up that the Bruins have 25 nationally televised games (52%), including two games on TSN, which I don't believe we get in the States.

So more than likely, 23 of these games will be blacked out in the US. I'm still hemming and hawing whether or not it's worth it.

I got the email today but I'm in Phoenix so I miss out on my Bruins game for this year because of the lockout. Below is the info - hopefully it helps some of you if you didn't get the email yet. Only 3 hours early before tix go on sale to the public. I assume the promocode is the same for every member. Promocode: CYBBRU

Presale: Wednesday, Jan., 16 at 11AM | Click Here to Purchase |

Tickets will go on sale to the public Wednesday, Jan., 16 at 2PM
*Presale is online only. Please note, you will not be able to purchase tickets until Wednesday, Jan., 16 at 11AM. There is a 4-8 ticket limit per game contingent upon a variety of factors. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tried to buy tickets to with that link and it wouldn't let me.

Would like to take the family to the game on Monday, perfect time and we all have off that day. I can get tickets from StubHub right now for $40 each in section 307, tickets then go to $45 each but there is also a FEDEX charge of 16.95 and I'm sure some other fees. Do I buy those now or risk it and wait until 2PM?

The 40-45 is right is the range that I can afford to take the family but if I can get them for 35 by waiting til 2 I'll do that.

Edit: Need to adjust my reading comprehension, just saw presale doesn't start until 11.

I think for the Monday game they will go down in price on stubhub because there will be more tickets available (and not a huge demand since people are working).

For Saturday night, I'm wondering if I'm even going to be able to get tickets through Ticketmaster. Gonna try at 11 and 2 (as are my friends) but I have a hunch I'll be resorting to Stubhub and paying out the ass.

I clicked on the link to look at the prices for pre-sale and the cheapest ticket was 80.50 so rather than risk it I bought 4 to Monday's game for $40 each in section 322, row 12. Wasn't worth the risk of losing those because all the $45 seats were gone for 4 tickets. NOw I just need to find out how to get those concessions vouchers and I will be all set. I'm pretty stoked about going to the game, haven't been since they won the Cup.

That's the hope. I thought I remember certain balcony seats being less than 30$ a pop if you go up a bit higher. I haven't been able to go to a game the last two seasons though, so I could be wrong.

That would be kind of bogus wouldn't it? Give you best customers the most expensive seats?

Per the Boston Bruins website:

Individual Tickets

Individual tickets for Bruins games played at the TD Garden will go on sale Wednesday, January 16, at 2:00 PM.

Tickets for the 2012-13 season range in price from $10.00 to $401.50 and vary depending on opponent, day, and time of game. Prices include $1.50 facility fee. Please note that all ticket prices are subject to change.

Rather shady that they don't release any discounted tix during pre-sell and charge same price regardless of day/opponent.

I'm in row 14 of the balcony and, unfortunately, I think the Ticketmaster face value for around my area is ~$75 now. I don't think you'll find much lower than that.
