EDIT: WE ARE NOT CONSIDERING FIELDING WHEN DETERMINING WHO THE BEST "HITTER" IS.

VOTE only considering the players time with the New York or San Francisco Giants

In what world was Mays a better hitter than Bonds? I guess 16 people are knocking Bonds for steroids?

Perhaps. When you eliminate the 7 years he spent in Pittsburgh, and if you discount the last 7 or 8 years he spent with SF due to steroids, then he's only got 7 or 8 years that you are considering. And in that case, Mays has a good case.

I didn't vote for Rusie, either, but 582 1/3 IP isn't bad for a season's work.

Even if you ignore steroids, Mays' oWAR is higher than Bonds' if you throw out the pittsburgh years. However, I still voted for Bonds because he was, pure and simple, the better hitter.
