The home opener is appointment television for me on Saturday, followed by the AFC Championship, then I'm going to the Winnipeg game on Monday. It's going to be a fun three day stretch for sure.

For an early look at this years team, tonight's scrimmage will be streamed on the B's website.

And yeah, this weekend is going to be awesome. B's Saturday, Mohegan Sun and the Pats Sunday, then the B's again on Monday.

I got on the red line at Porter this morning going towards downtown, and these two guys are in the nearly-empty car, having a conversation while sitting across from each other. Needless to say, the train fills up, and they decide to continue their conversation loudly and around the bodies of the people between them.

Moral of the story: fuck those guys

This was far more suited for the offseason thread

It's the same level as the media folks (and I think the front office uses it too). It's one row seating super high up. Last time I was up there I shared a bathroom with Manute Bol. I can't remember if the concessions are comped or not. But it's essentially your own row way up high

I'd come feel it between periods but apparently there's an elevator involved to get to and from my seats. But that means no beer or concession lines. Boom.

Yes, there's an elevator

It is slow.

yes the trips to bathroom and beer are very quick

Concessions are not free without obvious voucher (JJ is the owner . . . )

Usually it's used for bratty kids' birthday parties but will have different feel obviously for Saturday

There's not that much energy up there, but your view will be "fake first row"

Enjoy!

Per Ference's twitter, Lucic's absense at practice today was because his wife had a kid, 7 months after they got married. (Insert pulling the goalie joke here).

Seriously though, congrats to him.

I'd say it was a shotgun wedding if I wasn't so sure that he'd be up on battery charges after beating the father to a bloody pulp for pulling a gun on him.

Well, sounds like that's where I'll be Saturday night. As long as you can see the ice and feel the energy, works for me.

The one major problem I have with it is that you really can't feel the energy as much up there because there is only one row of seating and a lot of the people who do sit up there are people who either know someone or are media members etc. The bathroom and concession lines being short is very nice but I think it takes away too much from the actual energy you get from sitting amongst the crowd.
