We would need at least 10 guys to make it worthwhile, hopefully TFP thinks we would be worthy enough to grace us with his "A-league" talent.
So what Friday nights would work for everyone? Lets start throwing out some dates for the next few months.

I assume skating around badly holding milk crates would be frowned upon?
We may need a second goalie....
edit: For what it's worth, if we're at 8-9 people, and need a couple more to make it really competitive - I have a couple of friends around here who'd love to get in some ice time.

Marlboro is a pain for me to get to but if you need guys I can bring all of my D+ talent.
Ditto for me, I can almost certainly make a Friday skate.

That being said, I'm sure many of you know other goalies who are surely better than me...so it's no big deal if you don't need me.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but if you need a D- talented goalie, keep me in the loop. Marlboro is easy since that's where I work...and I know it sucks to have skate time with 1 or no goalies. Plus, I can almost guarantee I'll make you look good.

I like this guy.

I reserve the right to two-pad someone's knees though.

You'll like me more once you get a hat trick against me.
But seriously, I used to play in my company league where the teams go whatever goalie was assigned to play that day, gave it up last season because they started getting some guys that used to play in D1 colleges and I ALWAYS got matched up against them because of scheduling. So it kind of blew to always be on the losing end every single game. However, for a skate-time where it's just for shits and giggles, I can strap the pads back on and hope my muscles don't explode the first time I drop down on the ice.

I have BU hockey tickets 1/18, 2/8, 2/22, 3/1. The other days work for me.
Will need to rent some skates though.
Wait...you need to rent skates?
But you have all the other equipment?

Look up fmcicesports.com. They have some adult learn to play and pick up games. They have coaches and do drills. It usually is a mix of guys who haven't played or are taking it back up after a long time.

Check on HNA.com too. Pricey but I know guys who have come up through their beginner leagues.

Any interest in pond hockey? It's a lot cheaper and lord knows it's been cold enough. I can check my local pond and see how it held up with the dustings we've had.
I know there's a place in Nashua near Holman stadium that they flood each year.

If you can paddle you can already make a decent drop pass. :-)

Our rink is looking good, but apparently there's an inch of rain coming in tomorrow, so tough to plan for the weekend. Cold front coming through on Thursday, probably good to go by Sunday...

I need to skate. Playing in a tourney in early April. I haven't skated in months. The treadmill isn't cutting it...
edit: The team I am playing on is looking for another player. C level defensemen. If interested PM me.
