Bass over Sullinger has to be about preventing early foul trouble.
He literally cannot make an outlet pass without giving it to the other team. You have to be trying to be this awful.
I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it. I'd call it Blount-ian....but thats insulting to Mark Blount.

I'm still trying to decide whether Bass got his money and just quit, if he played above his head last year, or what. He was never good, per se, but he was certainly good enough to start last year. This year he's been an abomination.
Maybe his GF broke up with him? Other family problems? Some undiagnosed medical issue?
There has to be some reason for a borderline starting caliber guy (at least serviceable role player) to become by far the worst player in the NBA.

Damn, I didn't know we left Big Baby's personality as part of the trade.
Seriously, though, who knows. It could be any of the things you say, he could be lazy now that he's gotten money (though that would surprise me), or maybe he just played over his head before. Or maybe others around him aren't playing as well, and it's showing up with his numbers as well.

Especially against lesser point guards like Augustine, he forces the other team to change up their whole game plan. That last turnover was b/c Stephensen was trying to set up the offense...Bradley is such a pain in the ass on defense. This team really missed him.

Green is just so awful. Bricks the shot, then lets his man waltz around him. What could Ainge possibly have been thinking?
that he would provide more to the team than the alternative, which was probably pietrus

That one play doesn't damn the entirety of a contract? The hyperbole around here lately would make Bill Walton cringe.Green is just so awful. Bricks the shot, then lets his man waltz around him. What could Ainge possibly have been thinking?

Gorman: "I think that's a flagrant foul."
Tommy: "I hate you."

Fortunately for the C's, it was already a 23 point game, since KG had been playing great to that point.

I'll buy that. I think Bass will be alright, and I remain bullish on the C'z.Regarding the Brandon Bass crash-and-burn, is it possible that he misses Ray Allen more than anyone? When Allen was the first option, the power forward was always the last option on the mid-range jumper (it usually went Allen (covered) - Pierce (denied) - Garnett/Bass (open jumper)). Bass was very good on the open 15-footer, but he isn't getting those chances so much anymore).
