Ok, time to take the frustration out on the lowly Jaguars.

Blackmon one on one with Arrington won't be terrifying at all. Then again, Jacksonville sucks. Hard. Belichick spinning this one to how good the Jags are should be impressive, maybe some of his best work. Cecil Shorts is actually kind of a beast, so maybe he starts there?

Rah rah siss boon bah!

This team really needs to go out and care for the full 60 minutes. Caring for three quarters is just not gonna do it in today's NFL.

I believe this will mark my second post in a row to mention skull fucking. My mother would be so proud.

Skull-fuck these bottom-feeders and hope Trent Richardson gashes the Broncos.

Pats need 84 points to pass the 2007 team for most points ever. I expect them to hit that mark...

... in the first quarter.

Obligatory post how it's good that the team lost because they won't be on some long winning streak heading into the postseason and now BB can chew them out and get them refocused.

I hate Redoctober for what he did to me last night.

Will be attending Sunday's festivities with my dad. The last time we went to a game together was a freezing day sometime in the mid 80's at foxboro. I would therefore humbly request an NBA Jam type performance from Brady et al. Entertain me guys.

I watched the Niner game with a blonde of a Patriot hater who was hitting ear-shattering octaves.

It was not fun.

Can this game be fun, please?

Jeff Howe@jeffphowe

Tom Brady is absent from practice. Cue the apocalypse jokes. Mike Rivera is also missing. Dennard is here. So is Gronk.

That is amazing. What about total yards? Is that in reach?

Certainly seems like it. Football reference puts them at 6,054 yards this season compared to 6,580 yards total in 2007.

...no, wait, it's actually a bit harder: looks like the current NE record is 6,848 last year. I'm not sure about the NFL record; wikipedia says it's the Saints in 2011 with 7,474 yards, but it looks like they added on return yards to get to that number.

edit: nevermind, that Saints number is correct. I think that record is safe for now, barring twin 700+ yard efforts by the Pats to close out the season.

Jeff Howe@jeffphowe

Maurice Jones-Drew didn't practice today. After yesterday's comments about testing the foot, it doesn't sound good for his availability.

Spikes, Dennard, Gronk out per Reiss

Probably for the best. Spikes looks like he needs a week off, and better safe than sorry with Dennard—Talib can handle Blackmon like he did Andre Johnson.

All of my Christmas presents have been bought and are wrapped. I'm done with work until January 2. All of my holiday alcohol has been bought, and there are still 24 bottles in the case and aii the other bottles are still virigins. My wife just finished dusting the house and is planning on going to the gym this afternoon. My 6 year old will be very content to watching Sponge Bob all afternoon. Right now my stress meter is burined at the left side of green. I really hope the Pats are up 14 - 0 at the end of the first quarter, and then slowly pull away.

I cant see this as a trap game given how awful Jacksonville is and given the loss last week. Even if they play a little bit sloppy they probably win by 10 or something like that.
