I dunno. I've thought for most of the season that this is actually the best team in the NFC right here and they just need to get healthy enough to show it. I didn't think the beatdown the NYG laid on GB really told us anything.
If that ridiculous call at the end of the GB-SEA game had gone the right way this team would be about to run their record to 10-4 despite a raft of injuries to important players.
They're about to get Matthews and Woodson back and they still have a pretty good shot at a bye. I still see them as a big threat to win the whole thing.
Yea, I've actually been more nervous about GB throughout the season. Although anything can happen, I'm really only concerned about possibly playing at Denver on the road through the AFC. If we get through that, then I do see either GB or the NYG as the strongest teams match-up wise in the NFC. I'd love to face the Giants for the whole revenge factor, but then again I hoped for that last year and that didn't quite work out. It will be interesting to see how the NFC shakes out over the next few weeks.
And just looking at the standings and remaining schedule, I can actually see the Jets making it now, which I never would have thought after "butt tackle night"...Jets, Pitts, or Cincy; and this is probably more of an indicator as to the spread between the top 2-3 AFC teams and the next 4-8 teams.
