I don't think they'll sweep the Texans but it wouldn't be a total shock.
Also, if Pats best the Niners I think they'll ein out and end up as the 1 seed.

EDIT: I am an idiot.
DOUBLE EDIT: I'm sticking with "very likely" after all. Both teams would likely finish 12-4 in that scenario, with Colts owning the tiebreaker.

Kicked the shit out of PIT in 2010 and got manhandled by PIT in 2011.
If manhandled helps you sleep at night, more power to you. That wasn't the point.

"Tom Brady... wow... watching him tonight, as an old broken down quarterback, just a pleasure. I don't thiink anyone in his generation does more things better than he does."
"The Patriots have the greatest organization"
"Houston... what an Embarrassment. You just declared this the most important game in your history and this is what you show? "

Brady: ... She's doing very fine (awkward laugh). This was a great week and a great way to finish this week
"Dante Stallworth says the only thing different from you in 07 and now is more wrinkles!"
Brady: (confused look) Oh! Haha. Thats what kids, marriage and a few losses do to you
"If you had to show your daughter one game from your career, what would it be?"
Brady: I don't know. I love the snow ones, it can't be 60 degrees and perfect weather in Foxboro like today. Hopefully that game is soon to come"

Was just clarifying - thought you meant that they were beaten by PIT in 2010.

That Brady interview was so weird, reporters were asking him weird ass questions and he basically still gave all the correct answers.
Heard: "What is up with that coat? Isn't he inside? Did he just blowdry his hair? Some stylist artfully adjusted his collar halfway up, that is unbelievable! Is he on a runway??!"

Brady just topped off the night by submitting the most Belichickian press conference of his career. Dodged questions on the MVP, the importance of the win, his age and wrinkles, his daughter, his best game ever, and had flawlessly inane pivots to team-based platitudes at every juncture.
Dude has a PhD in Belichickian, and he does it with some impressive finesse.

Anybody else hear Steve Young say that the Texans thought coming in that they had the "biggest dick" in the conference? Did he say "stick"? And how much better would that be. Suzy looked a little discomfited to my eye. Anyone else hear that?Dude has a PhD in Belichickian, and he does it with some impressive finesse.

Yea, I thought that I was just getting tired because she then said something about which team had the bigger stick now IIRC. It was a weird moment that I just chalked up to me being tired, but apparently it was actually real.

I think he said stick but did a doubletake and heard it like you.

He did the same thing against Jax in 2007. It cost him a TD.Stallworth talking about looking in the jumbotron to avoid the strip. Mentioned it has a delay, lol.

If there was an adult size then that would be something else. It is like two laser beams instead of just one....but a mohawk tassel instead of just a ball tassel.

Meanwhile, New England has a +198 points differential. The next best team....
The 49ers at +132. Bring 'em on.

you can try to hear it either way and convince yourself. I wonder if sometimes the analysts forget that they are on TV and just talk about the game like they would with their friends.
BTW, he said "biggest dick in the league." I'm sure of it.

But several veterans said this was akin to a school field trip.
“I think they showed us what it takes to be a champion,” inside linebacker Bradie James said.
Defensive lineman Antonio Smith agreed.
“I sensed it from the coin toss. It was business, straight up, to them,” he said.
“You can see just how serious they were. They’ve been here before. I’m a movie buff, you know. It reminded me of that movie, ‘Troy,’ when Achilles told Hector, ‘Now you know what you’re dealing with.’ That’s what it was like. No love. ‘We’re coming in here to show y’all who the big dogs are.’”

Stick. Sorry. On TV, in real time I also heard stick. Steve Young is a religious guy, family man...come on, man. I know he had several concussions playing, somewhat due to his reckless abandon style of play.you can try to hear it either way and convince yourself. In pregame, someone also used the phrase "biggest stick", I'm pretty sure.

The opposite occurs in edited TV versions of "The Godfather" when Michael is getting ready to go to the restaurant to shoot They Turk and Sonny says to Clemenza that the gun better be well-hidden in the restaurant toilet because he doesn't want his brother coming out "with just his dick in his hand" which they subtly changed for broadcast TV to "with just a stick in his hand"

You're probably right. I wasn't entirely serious that I was "sure" he said "dick." I think the way those words flow together it's very difficult (if not impossible) to differentiate between "biggest stick" and "biggest dick." I was just amused and coming down off the high of watching that performance.

Sig worthy quote from Antonio Smith.
It's pretty remarkable. You would think a loss like that, in a nationally televised game, against a team you may very well face again in the playoffs, would just shatter the Texan's confidence.

Similar to the fish sticks/fish dicks on South Park.Yeah, after a few replays, I'm 95% sure he said "stick". There's a little extra 's' sound right before the 'ick'.

It's not on the Pats site, unfortunately. The Brady press conference is everything it was billed as though--so, so awesome.

The press conference was fine until Rick Reilly got involved at the end. I don't get why Brady humors these douchebag media types like Reilly and Jim Gray.

Is there any athlete you'd rather be for a day than Wilfork? He just seems like an incredibly centered dude, even more so than Brady (or anyone, really).
