No one is saying now, but the very first mentions on twitter says Jovan Belcher from U Maine... apparently in front of Pioli and Crennel.... yikes.

So he's happy to put out the story before next of kin have been informed but he does it anonymously so every family member of a Chiefs player goes into a panic, really classy. How about just keeping quiet about any of it until all the people have been informed in the right way, rather than reporting it just so you can add it to your list of scoops?

Police are investigating two deadly shootings Saturday morning that they said are related.
The shootings involve a Chiefs player and his girlfriend.
The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility.
Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself.

A quick Google search doesn't return any news about Belcher & concussion(s). He had a groin injury earlier this season (Sept) per Rotoworld, but no news about anything concussion related.

It's just as plausible that this is NOT concussion related - unfortunately, there might not be an easily digestable explanation for something so senseless.

Yeah, you can go mental without a concussion. This seems like a typical murder-suicide. Of course, usually the suicide happens at the scene of the murder. Driving to practice and THEN shooting yourself in front of people is very creepy.

I want to go back to how he shot himself in front of the coaches. This is horrible but I can't even imagine what they're going through right now. I also can't fucking imagine what would make him drive TO the practice facility before shotting himself.
