Can anyone explain why NYC doesn't get the early game of CBS's doubleheader? I was hoping to watch the Pats at home, but instead NYers probably get three hours of Paid Programming or reruns of Two and a Half Man.

When a team plays a home game, that game is the only one shown in the team's home media market during that time slot. So you won't get anything up against the Jets game during the 1pm time slot.

Got it, thanks. That makes me a sad panda.
There's a handful of interesting matchups this week. Pitt @ BAL is the big one, obviously, but those of us who don't want to see Pitt in the playoffs will probably be interested in Cinci @ SD.
Seattle gets its CBs for this week, right? If so that makes SEA @ CHI more interesting.
Then, of course, we're all probably praying for TB to pull one out at Denver. Other than that, there aren't really any intriguing non-Pats matchups.

Can anyone explain why the Greensboro NC is getting Jax-Buf instead of NE-MIA or even the TEN game? Seems very random and it's not like Jax-Buf is a big game.
That's odd. I can't figure that one out...it's the Panthers secondary market, but neither of those teams is a Panthers rival...
EDIT: The map has been changed. Greensboro is getting NE-Miami now.

Wow, Buffalo is blacked out. I thought they were one of those places where that never happens.
They usually black 1-2 games late in the year. It's mind boggling with the NFL scheduling. If they had scheduled the jags game early in the season when there was tons of hype it would have been a sellout. Flip the Pats game in buffalo earlier in the year to a December date and its likely one less blackout in the league.

Watching the Saints always makes me feel better about the Pats defense. Yeesh.
That run defense is something special

And just a sidenote: watching Drew Brees this season just makes me appreciate Brady even more. Don't get me wrong, Brees is a great player, but he's very inconsistent from year to year. Continued excellence is something very difficult to achieve in this league.
How is he inconsistent now?

He looked off most of the 4th quarter that game, and today hasn't been so great yet either.

He's pretty much alternated great and not-so-great seasons his whole career. When he's on, he's a machine, but he just turns the ball over a lot otherwise. He doesn't have bad seasons, but I just feel he has had more years in which he looked merely 'good' than both Brady and Manning have had combined since 2006. He's still a great, great player, but I often see him ranked with Tom and Peyton on that upper echelon as if he were their equal. He isn't.

Brees is going Rex Grossman on us tonight. Not reading the coverage it's just "fuck it, I'm going deep."
On his first pick, he played it just like I would in Madden. Play-action, pump-fakes, the safety doesn't bite, unloads it deep anyway.

They took 30 seconds after the first Sproles play. Ridiculous.
Stunningly poor execution. What the hell was that?

Yeah, I'm not sure why anyone was fooled by them. This seems awfully similar to 2010-2011 when they had the 1 seed.Atlanta isn't going to win a playoff game.

I'm pretty sure you're nearly 100% wrong on all of this. Go ahead and prove your case though. My interest is certainly piqued.

Why would you use play action in Madden? That's like a "please sack me" button.
