This team is painfully average. They were totally outclassed tonight.
I still think they will flip the switch at some point in 2013 and make a spirited run. It's been their recent history (2010 and 2012).

"It was effort related. I thought Brooklyn took the game. Didn't have anything to do with the bad breaks. They earned this game."
"I've got to do a better job with our guys ... We just have to come and play with more force. I'm not asking us to be fighters ... we just need to play the game with a lot more force. And until we do that, other teams think we're a soft team."

I really hope so, but they are nowhere close to being a good team right now.

Not that I would want to see KG suspended for any period of time, and the whole thing looks like a pretty good overreaction on Rondo's part, but the fact that KG doesn't really start getting scrappy until he has about 5 guys between him and the fight, doesn't really help his image of being all bark and no bite.
He and Wallace were into it pretty good on the Brooklyn feed. Not sure what you want KG to do once Rondo shoves bitchface into the crowd.

Doc may be right about the team playing with too little intensity or being soft. That's hard for an outsider to evaluate, I think. But I hope his focus is also on their poor execution. If Bass didn't miss a bunch of open looks and Rondo didn't keep throwing the ball away in the first quarter, the Nets wouldn't had such an easy time building that early lead. Said differently, I'm just as concerned with their aptitude as I am their attitude.Wow. Doc is destroying the team in the press conference. "I thought Brooklyn looked at this game as a huge game. They want to make the playoffs ... and we showed up to play basketball."

And Ed, whatever Humpries did there, Rondo WAY overreacted. He's critical to the team's success and he just can't be doing things that will lead to a suspension.

Better angle than I had on my feed. Humphries is a punk. That's one of those fouls that is more dangerous than it looks, and Humphries knew exactly what he was doing. There are really no suspensions warranted for any of that. The one game should be enough.
I'm not sure I get this. From the video above it looks like Humphries puts his arm up and catch KG's chest who then loses balance. Run of the mill foul in my eyes.

yeah, WTF is that "dangerous foul" bullshit?
Humphries barely touches him and he falls on his own accord. Rondo completely flew off the handle for no reason. Rondo is the punk.

I'll never understand why MLB, NBA, etc., pull down YouTube videos of their stuff. What do they think it's stealing away from? Watching these just makes me want to watch and talk about the NBA more! It really makes no sense to me.
Yup, very annoying. They clearly are aiming at directing the traffic to their website, where they hope to sell you something.

This would be acceptable if they put up adequate clip coverage. But, they don't. I get that they can't let me see every video clip I could ever want to see, but when something interesting or exciting happens in a game, it should be possible to see a clip of that play after the fact. I really don't care if it is at YouTube or NBA.com provided I can access the content.Yup, very annoying.
